Treatment Massage
In Treatment massage we use specialized soft tissue manipulation
techniques that can help relieve pain.
This type of massage works well for:
Acute and Chronic Pain
Rehabilitation from Injury and Surgery
Treatment massage works well on most acute and chronic soft tissue pain. Problems such as tension headaches, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, low back pain, hip pain and sciatica, knee and shin splints, and many other soft tissue problems, can be successfully treated with massage. For example, patients with frequent tension headaches often report that the tension and pain starts near the base of the skull, then travels up, over and around their head. In treatment massage, a wide variety of soft tissue techniques are used to release the tight muscles in the shoulder, neck and head. Many patients happily report that their headaches disappear in just one session.
Treatment massage can also help speed recovery from injury and
surgery. This type of massage combined with other forms
of health care can be extremely helpful. For example,
chiropractic patients with back problems often find
that including massage along with their chiropractic
treatments speeds up their healing process. Massage
relaxes tight muscles so that the chiropractic adjustments
will hold longer. Similarly, massage combines well with
physical therapy in facilitating rehabilitation from
injury and surgery.
